How do I study the ahl – without learning the Hebrew language
1- I have formal training at translation – Classical and NT Greek
And I know how to use a lexicon – so I understand the variation in the interlinear / mechanical translation / and what we have in English or Hebrew alone
I cannot translate Hebrew – I only use prompts
2- I have always been a – looker upper – research
If I want to know something – I look it up
I have tried to teach this to my girls – educate yourself
When researching Jewish thought – one thing becomes very clear – they always have more than one opinion
Read anything at - www.jewishencyclopedia.com/articles/13219-satan
You always get more than one answer
The true answer is – Rabbi A says this – but Rabbi B say smothering different – and Rabbi C disagrees
How refreshing – ask a Christian and they only have one possible answer for anything (one way attitude)
There are several – “ask a Rabbi websites”
If you announce yourself Christian and sound offending / defending – you may not get a response
I always never declare – I ask something like – I am not a practicing Jew – but how can these crazy Christians think this or that – that always gets me a response
My second choice = new.huji.ac.il/
Go to their RESEARCH page and read – there are opinions on a million subjects – all 100% Jewish
For a short While – I was a obsessed with Michael Rood
A tremendous source of Messianic Jewish thought and attitude
Preaches on YouTube – from Jerusalem
But he is not perfect – guilty of religious finance fraud in Michigan and Missouri
And you should spend some time at - jewsforjesus.org
Today – I am impressed by - Chabad.org
Judaism is not one group
Christianity = >2000 different denomination with different doctrine drawn from different verses
Judaism has always had two groups
The Sadducees – did not believe in an afterlife – grave only till Judgment
The Pharisees – were a more charismatic group (spiritual) – 12 month Proportional Punishment
Today we have Sephardic Judaism – what you would think of as Orthodox, Conservative, and Reformed
These are Talmudic Jews – usually hate Christians
The larger portion of Judaism today are Hasidic Jews
(Wiki) Hasidic Judaism was founded by Israel ben Eliezer (1700–1760), also known as the Baal Shem Tov, who had previously called themselves Freylechn ("happy ones") and now call themselves Hasidim ("pious, holy ones"). His charismatic disciples attracted many followers among Ashkenazi Jews, and established numerous Hasidic groups across Europe
charismatic discipleship – spiritual Jews –
(Wiki) Ashkenazi Jews have won a large number of the Nobel awards. While they make up about 2% of the U.S. population and 0.1% of the world population, 27% of United States Nobel prize winners in the 20th century, 25% of Fields Medal winners, 25% of ACM Turing Award winners, 50% of the world's chess champions, including 8% of the top 100 world chess players, and 25% of Westinghouse Science Talent Search winners have Ashkenazi Jewish ancestry.
Time magazine's person of the 20th century, Albert Einstein, was an Ashkenazi Jew. According to a study performed by Cambridge University, 21% of Ivy League students, 25% of the Turing Award winners, 23% of the wealthiest Americans, 38% of the Oscar-winning film directors, and 29% of Oslo awardees are Ashkenazi Jews.
Chabad = a spiritual based faction of Hasidic Judaism
Trying to see the world and God’s Hand in it with spiritual eyes
