Unlike Presbyterianism or Catholicism – the term Gnostic is not well defined
If you look at a dictionary it will say something like it was a pseudo-pagan-religion
Be careful – the dictionaries were written by Catholic Priest
Gnostic literature is classified as any theological text written as a foundation for Judeo-Christian theology that differs from the Roman view.
Many of the text are amazing works (my opinion) some, I give no weight to. Because Gnosticism had been vilified by Rome for so long and it became a catch-all for anything Rome didn’t like.
My use of Gnosticism – which is NOT a religion – it’s a method – Scientific method applied to theology -- and again my favorite verse – 1 Thess 5:21 test it all and keep the good
I noticed you listed texts honored by the Coptic Church
The Coptic Broader Cannon was my first love. Can you read Coptic?
I have so much respect for the Church it humbles me
You know – many preach that when Jesus returns – he comes to Egypt to save his elect (and who is there)
Gnostic Sources From the Hebrew era – Creation up to 500BC
I first love is that Coptic Broader Canon – but the Coptics have never translated anything to avoid error and human edit
My second love is the Hebrew MidRash, Enoch, Jubliees, 1st &2nd Books of Adam and Eve, The Book of Creation, The testament of Solomon and Key of Solomon, The Zohar.
These materials contains all the mysticism and theology of all theologies – including anything considered Gnostic
INCLUDING UFOs – ancient astronaut gods – Anunnaki, Egypt - Giants, Gen 6
The 500BC pre-Jesus Spiritual Awakening - Interesting era
God promise to make the Israelites priest unto the world.
500Bc the 10 tribes of Israel are lost – Hebrew writings stop (OT ends),
Some of the ten tribes go EAST - 500Bc is the birth of Buddhistism and Confucianism, in China –– and Zoroasterism in Persia (Which I especially enjoy – and the Avesta is a must read)
Most of the tribes go NORTH – over the Caucus Mountains to populate Caucasian Russia, Scandinavia, Europe, and England – 500 BC - Mithraism in born in Greece/Rome,
followed by the Books of the Maccabees (Canon? Not Canon? if not canon then Gnostic) leading to the rededication of the Temple
Jesus era inspired Gnostic Text. – anything attributed to the Apostilles from the time of ACTS, anything attributed to the people around the Apostles (Mary), anything written by the first Church
INCLUDING UFOs – Dead Sea Scrolls – I have 2 second hand stories I will share myself.
I am not associated with any organization but I have been to Hagia Sophia Chapel of the Ecclesia Gnostica in Seattle - www.gnosis.org/seattle/index.htm
I was not there for a service and have no idea what it would have been like. It felt much more like a library and a study hall to me. Some interesting things were there in print form, but most of it was on-line access - My go to source - www.gnosis.org/library.html of www.gnosis.org/eghome.htm
Current Gnostic Sources – www.gnosis.org/welcome.html
Nag Hammadi and Dead Sea Scrolls – Roman Catholic Church History
AND IMPORTANT TO ME – PSALMS 19:1 – current science theory – my science theory – string theory – multidimensionalism – genetics – It excites me when science validates my theology
Chuck Missler (Iam thinking of taking a Konia House correspondence class now), Kim Clement, Michael Rood, UNlearn.com
INCLUDING UFOs - a must read for everyone 'Bridge over Magnolia' by Jacques valley
Overlooked Gnostic Source – The Koran – the Jinn
In true scientific methodology – all source must be considered – a true detective interviews as many witnesses as possible – there is only one true base theology – I don’t know it, but I seek it.
