God the mind of the Cosmos

The Cosmic Mind personalized is an infinitesimal part of God in man. Just as a drop of water from the ocean has all the ingredients in the ocean, this mind has all the powers of God. However, just as a drop of water from the ocean does not make up the ocean, the mind of one person does not make up God’s mind. All the drops joined together become the ocean; all the minds in the universe together make up God’s mind.

Mind is the source of all happiness, all misery, health, and disease, and lack, riches and poverty, joy and sorrow. As the greatest English poet John Milton suggested, it can make a hell out of heaven or a heaven out of hell. Our mind is a microcosm and creates our universe.

Like a laser beam, mind can focus its attention on the smallest atom or see the whole universe as if it is a speck. Mind can become part of the and the cosmos.

The speed of thought is more than the speed of light. In a millisecond, mind can reach the farthest galaxy, billions of light years away. It is instantaneous and unlimited by space or time. For example, the precocious genius Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart said that he could hear a musical work as and not successfully and  y professor. Aitkin remarked that he could run through half an hour's music in half a minute.

What mind is and where it is situated has been debated for centuries. Rarely two philosophers agree on one definition or for mind.

Rene Descartes, French philosopher, scientist, and mathematician said that there is a total and absolute between mental and substance and that mind is situated in the pineal gland.

Endocrinologist Ernest Gelhorn thinks that mind is an activity of the entire nervous system. Hughlings Jackson, a neurologist, thinks that consciousness and mind are the same, whereas Percival Bailey, director of the Psychiatric Research Institute, disagrees.

Mind is non-material and cannot become part of a material brain , pineal gland or amygdala. We can go through every nerve cell, analyze electro-chemically, spectroscopically, mass-photographically, electronically, and, using all known, we will not find any of mind. There is no single location for the mind.

The human mind is distributed throughout the human body and its environment. Every cell has its own mind and has the ability to function independently or jointly with all the cells of the body.

For example, a neuron is capable of deciding whether it will transmit information to another nerve cell and, if it will, to which one among the thousands of cells with which it is in contact. Similarly, endocrine cells decide whether they will respond to a demand for a particular enzyme by cells in another far corner of the body.

Even sponge cells exhibit a similar capacity of awareness. When a piece of sponge is ground up and individual cells are suspended in solution, they will come together and become a complete sponge within a few hours.

This that each cell has a mind of its own to decide to combine with another sponge cell and with which of the thousands of cells floating in solution.

Just as each of the thousand pieces of a splintered mirror will show the same reflection of an object as the whole mirror, each cell reflects our mind and each cell in the universe reflects the universal mind.

Boy - this is a hard one

I doubt I am bright enough to answer this - and I'll make it even a little harder:
What is the difference between - intelligence, knowledge, the mind, thoughts, the soul, and the spirit.

The mind is just a computer - it is animal - it can assimilate knowledge, (different amount for different people) from this knowledge it generates some amount of intelligence (different amount for different people) and from the combination of the two (knowledge and intelligence) we generate our thoughts. All of this is mechanical / animal

I have done a Hebrew study of the phrase "living soul" - From AHR:

When I first started using a concordance to look up the original Hebrew words I was amazed to find out that these two phrases were the identical Hebrew phrases - nephesh chayah. Why would the translators translate nephesh chayah as "living soul" in one place and "living creatures" in another? It was this discovery that prompted me to learn the Hebrew language.

In the Hebrew mind we are composed of three entities; body, breath and mind. In future issues we will examine each of these but for now let us simply make some general definitions for them. The body is the flesh, bones and blood, the vessel. The mind is ones thoughts and emotions. The breath is ones character, what makes a person who they are.

The soul is the whole of the person, the unity of the body, breath and mind. It is not some immaterial spiritual entity it is you, all of you, your whole being or self."

Gen 1:21 And God created the great sea-monsters, and every living creature that moveth, wherewith the waters swarmed, after their kind, and every winged bird after its kind: and God saw that it was good.

These two phrases are exactly the same in the Hebrew - we are alive

So - Body, Mind, Soul - all equal (Rabbinic commentary)
It all comes together at birth. Your soul is who you are, what you think, those mental things that make you you and different from me.

Spirit - the astro-projection of that soul (disembodied soul?) - the intent

Like I said - this is a hard one

I don't think I agree with your post - this is why

Several people over the course of my life have invited me into the Dianetics self help program. I read a few books and I have argued with many Scientologist. I even have a picture of me standing outside their Hollywood Temple. Yeah!

Here is why I do not embrace the drop of ocean concept:

In witnessing to the Scientologist the point is always made - the difference between a true Christian and a Christian want-to-be - is - the true Christian has Christ dwelling within.

Scientology's answer - we are all Christian because each of us has a drop of that ocean within us. Without doing anything, without trying, without ever recognizing Christ as Savior, we are all saved because we all contain a drop of that ocean. Because each of us has a piece of God within us - none of us will ever go to hell, because God isn't going to hell and if we did we would take a piece of Him with us.

OH - and by this same logic they can claim that we are all gods.

I agree with you Dave!!, although I know almost nothing about Scientology other than it was invented by the science fiction write Ron Hubbard. My post was not my own idea but that of the person to from the link I included.

I am resolute in my belief, that God created us as beings separate from Him, but somewhat in his, spiritual, creative and thinking likeness. What I do know about Scientology is that it is one of the most ridiculous religions ever to rear its ugly head in all of hi man history.

My belief is that we humans are bi-union beings similar to God, with a spirit , that is our ethereal body, our souls our eternal minds!

Of course my believing it does not mean it is correct or true, I am an admittedly fallible mortal.

Let me preach muti-dimensionalism for a minute.

The "First Dimension" - that single point singularity that is omni-everything - which is not locatable or measurable - but yields definition to all the dimensions that follow.

The "Second Dimension" - which is omni-present - the either, matrix, the Holy Spirit - the projection of the "First" through a distance.

The "Third Dimension" - our physical univeral reality - the projection of the "First" through the "Second" and forming the "Third" - physicality -

All higher dimension - built upon these three - but at the heart of them all is the "First" - and the "Second" and the "Third"

My Science makes me a Trinity believer - or - I am a Trinity believer and I accept this science as close to accurate - which validates the other ?

Drop of Water Example

Each and every drop of water from the ocean is the same - totally indistinguishable from one another

Mutlt-dimensionality -- each created thing from the "First" is of the "First" - agreed!, but built upon the "First" into something new and different. Just as Salt is constructed differently than Iron - The Holy Spirit is a different thing than the "First" - it is the "Second," but not before the "Third"

In this example - my ethereal body, or eternal mind - is of the "First" / Father / Creator
but created, and therefore different

The drop of water in an infinite ocean, is also a belief of the Buddha Cult. Sort of complete loss of self identity within the great cosmic oneness.

As for me, I want to remain me, in this life and the next.

Greetings Gentlemen, I love to read your thoughts about the mind and the soul, whatever those words mean. I haven't thought about this either, so I our discussion we ponder the confusion. But I like to stick to Scripture as we do this.

Isa 1:18 Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.

This text tells me that Relationship between GOD and MAN. is a concept. to reason together. That sin is defined as missing relationship.

Hence from this idea, there must be relationship inside the "nephesh" of man, one who belongs to GOD only and the other who is from humans only.

Notice in the creation of living things we have this relationship: Dust + ruwach = nephesh.

Thus our mind is the relational aspect of GOD letting us reason together. If you divide the sponge into thousands of pieces, the cells + ruwach are in every cell, so the reasoning process is still preserved.

When a nephesh dies, the ruwach returns to GOD, and the relationship ends that very day.

Thus I see mind as the relational process of GOD interacting with man, the mind comes from relationship with GOD. That would mean plants have relationship, and thus have mind, and we humans will one day talk to plants as much as we can't also talk to all the animals. Rocks on the other hand have powers of GOD in them, but no "ruwach" thus no talking relationship, and thus no mind that can think and do and speak. Unlike living things which can.

The drop of water in an ocean, assumes we have ownership of our small part of GOD's ruwach borrowed to us. No we don't have ownership of this. We can however make for ourselves a character from this relationship, so our "spirit" can testify with the Holy Spirit, we are children of GOD. Jeff Benner sees this "wind" as our character, and he is right, but we don't own this also, its formed from relationship, but is a part of our doing, so in this sense we take our unique characters to heaven with us.

1 - Before we are born - Jews say we existed in a place called the 'Well of Souls'
We were in full presence of the Lord and all the heavens

You know Dave your a slow man to get answers from. But this reply of yours, is very nice. While I don't agree with your theory because its not based on Hebrew torah as I see it, your theory as you claim is based on Jewish ideas, Muslim ideas and Gnostic ideas, does have sufficient merit to be called a theory of faith. Just remember I don't see it based on Hebrew torah.

SO if I understand you, the TOV RA thing came as a result of some creation reason, not sure here, but GOD did it for some reason, and the RA came along for some reason, as a by-product of creation, and the Archon Beings that arose from RA, sexually mated with Eve, to produce hybrid Archons who are inherently filled with more RA. An unfallen angel called the bright one volunteered to over rule this chaos from the unmanageable Ra, to become their opponent, to help mankind deal with their RA, both in these Archons as Beings causing us to sin, and ourselves with Ra naturally embedded in our DNA and our natural world, as a result of our creation with tov and ra in it. So this Hebrew word "satan" meaning to oppose or be an opponent is really a good angel helping us deal with the archons, who are the bad guys in the great contest, and hence our testing. It sounds OK as a theory of faith.

Some questions with your theory of faith.

You have written evidence for this, from Gnostic writings, which mostly follow Hebrew torah but not 100%, as I have already showed you, but some writings you have show me, does follow torah is very well.

Progress is Good. Is what I've written sound OK to you so far?

I get why TOV and RA came with a Creation, for man, so I get it in new creation, only Tov is in the new creation, and we get a multidimensional universe, whatever that term means, without no more Ra in it? Gives us hope, GOD is a good God after all.

But in your theory of faith, GOD was NOT a totally good GOD for us, with the creation of humans, because our world, has TOV and RA in it. Why did GOD do this? Scripture doesn't say, Gnostic writings don't say either? That's a big hole in your pondering confusion, an unanswered question.

GOD could have made humans in a universe without Ra in it, but He chose not to. In the next universe GOD makes the humans live in a universe with RA in it at all.

OK, some quick questions about your theory of faith:-

2) I take it the hades pit is for the archons and wicked humans who follow archons?
3) Who causes death? where does death come from? archons I presume?

6) How does human sinning, fit into your theory of faith. Would sin be doing what the archons want? Such as killing, murdering, cheating, lying, raping, stealing and worshipping on the wrong Sabbath day, such as Sun day?

How come this "archon" term is not common in the OT? There should be one text on the Archons, in the OT? There is only one text the "straight live by their faith" (Hak 2:4). Funny that. One OT text on how salvation is achieved in the OT. Not wonder Jews miss reading things, so many things are based on one small text. No wonder the latter rain torah (NT) helps fill and expand the things missed by the former rain torah (OT). Jews don't read the NT, only the OT, and much is missed by a scanty placing of texts,, in the OT.

That's why I think Scripture says "line upon line, here a little there a little". You have to look up all the lines, every theme before making a creed of something.

There are some current short falls in your theory of faith.

As a general comment about your theory of faith, compared to my own theory of faith, is it's not based on a perfect all powerful concept of LOVE.

If GOD is love, what does this mean? Ponder that question, and write your answer in terms of Tov and Ra. Why these terms? Because they are opposites, and obviously descriptions of love aren't they?
