People “TRY” so hard to be a perfect Christians, but yet, somehow – they remain human. The Bible says, if your hand offends you, cut it off – and the male members of the Heaven’s Gate Cult cut off their XXXX! The Catholics made the practice of scourging a self-repentant tool.
Yet, they forget that even Paul said that he was the biggest sinner of all. How could he not be? How can you and I be without sin? We cannot – we are animal! We crave, we lust, we covet, we anger, and inflict grief onto others! THIS IS EXACTLY WHY THE MESSAGE OF THE Gospel is not one of; “Everybody feel guilty for who they are!” - but rather – the gift from God is Grace. He knows who we are better than we do! Should we dwell on the NEGATIVE! – and just worry about HELL FIRE! – Or, appreciate the POSITIVE, which is the gift of grace and the invitation to enter the Kingdom of Heaven!
Just how do we go about that - church? It is a great place to start! The problem is that people check in, join the club, and never progress. Sure they memorize tons and tons of one-liners known as scripture verses. Boy do I hate these people. No matter what I say they can quote a verse – yeah for them, but it doesn't mean that verse is relevant or pertinent. They feel so proud as if they just won the spelling bee!
I gave it a good try – I did the studies – but Christendom just has too many man-made attitudes woven into the very fabric of its own mythology. I grew up around some very conservative Mennonite and Amish neighbors. When I got divorced, some of them bid me farewell, because they would not be seeing me in Heaven! Then, when I remarried, some more had to say their good-byes, because now I am guilty of adultery.
My parents were born in 1908 and 1912. Their parents probably never saw one another naked. What would those puritan pilgrims do if they wash ashore on today’s Daytona or Malibu beaches? They would have had to poke out all their eyes and who would have ever built America? Yet, it was these same puritan grandparents that preached the story of Jacob fathering the twelve tribes, of Israel, by five different women; and only two of them were married to Jacob! Solomon had how many concubines?
King David lusted after a woman so much that he committed – adultery, rape, and then multiple murders – yet he was the most beloved by God? When, the child of that rape died a year later, David confesses his sin to the prophet Nathan:
Get that – in the Old Testament - without a blood sacrifice – David’s sins are forgiven.
If you had a chronological Bible at hand you would see that the very next entry would be Psalms 51
The point being – My puritan grandmother’s impression of morality was certainly not scriptural.
The more and more issues I investigated the more and more convinced that Christendom’s mythology – although written into our histories and culture – isn't the true Gospel
Christ built His Church upon Peter. And Peter did not preach from Rome but from Egypt! The Egyptian Christians had a published 6 language interlinear freely available by the 2nd century. The Egyptian texts include much more that Rome has allowed – yet they often rely on the Book of Enoch, or especially the Book of Jubilees, to justify some of their most historical positions; especially when it comes to matters of demonology – imagine that!
On the other hand, Rome fought to suppress reading of the Canon, by anyone except their church. Martin Luther and King James sponsored the Protestant movement in revolt to Rome. Yet, even Protestantism is molded into its present form by the commentaries of men from 500 years past. Men like Calvin, who had his critic burned at the stake.
While Roman Christendom sponsors the crusades, the inquisition, and a bloody reformation that continued in Ireland until the 1990s – while Roman Christendom rewrote History to improve its position, and becomes a country of its own, with its own army, spies, and secret police – while Roman Christendom has had 266 Popes, that raise in power through intrigue, conspiracy, and even murder – the Coptic Church of Egypt has had 118 Popes of peaceful transition – they have gathered the largest library of ancient text – they invented monasticism and the Monk’s silent inward search for his creator – and they have harmed no one!

Psalm 51 (KJV) - For the director of music. A psalm of David. When the prophet Nathan came to him after David had committed adultery with Bathsheba.
15 O Lord, open thou my lips; and my mouth shall shew forth thy praise.
16 For thou desirest not sacrifice; else would I give it: thou delightest not in burnt offering.
17 The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.

A man’s heart shall be known by his works – what about a religion?
