600 million people in India are in their 3rd day of no power at all and no evidence of power coming back on. --Okay this is a warning for the US. Oh---silly me--- I am sure the powers that be would never let that happen.

This is an excellent lesson.
What ever change is coming, it is going to happen all at once and it is going to effect so many people at once; and it is going to change the world.
Imagine for yourself, Iran and the West actually going to war ( I say west because, NATO is an arm of Wa DC, but it is removed enough away from Wa DC that it has plausible deniability)
Iran would have new found allies, such as: Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Sudan, and of course Afghanistan. Just how many countries do we need to have a world war? Greece, Spain, France, and Italy are all looking to fix their wealth. If they had to choose between Germany, England, and the US vs Persian and its oil, what would they do?
Then there is Israel smack dab in the middle.
The western world economy crashes into a global depression.
The big one really does hit California and it is much worse than any ever imagined. LA does slide into the Pacific and the west coast of America is redrawn.
Volcanoes erupt. The ring of fire erupts. This dramatic earth change causes other earthquakes and Volcanoes in new and and different places all over the globe.
As the global death toll rises, diseases run run wild. Organized medicine was already overwhelmed and had stopped functioning.
OK, maybe this isn't all going to happen overnight. It might take 1- 6 weeks to change the planet forever!

Some of us grew up with no electricity. We survived. Can you imagine what the young people would do without their facebook and computers. Today there was a crop circle in the state of Washington. I think this one was man made because it was a simple design.I think those that are math equations ---well I am not sure who created them.

With no electricity - you personally would not have water, a refrigerator, or have the ability to communicate. With in 2 days everybodies cell phone batterie would be dead - but that dont matter because the towers stopped working when the power went down
How long could you survive - and if you tell me now that you have weeks of water stored in the basement - you better not lets anyone else know, because in about 4 days that mob outside your house would drink your stash in about 2 minutes. Unless you manage to stop them.
Sounds pretty ugly to me.

Doomsday Prepers say you must have lots and lots of guns and lots and lotsof ammo because if you have water or food mobs will steal it. We in Phoenix could never stay here without water and where will a person get gas in order to drive away?

What is the advice for me to think about. I had started to store some food and I planted a garden (which was only partly successful) but then I thought it was of no use. I watched a tv show called Doomsday Prepers which was a series and there are many people that are spending lots of money and time to prepare. Is it too late to start to prepare?

Years ago my advice would have been to run to the hills - but I don't have that opinion any longer - I have family.
I will never live in a metropolitan area. But being a recluse had its down side. My once advice - is to -
Do not make it the focus of your life Worry and doubt just rob us of our day to day happiness Enjoy life - be thankful for it - touch as many lives as you can For as long as you alive - you can learn and grow and perhaps even passably teach others. There is a 100% chance that you and I are going to die. I have often wondered if I would want to raise my girls in a post-apocalyptic world.
We are all going to die sooner or later. So then, the next most important question becomes - Then what? - is there something more? The question for me is not whether there is a God and an afterlife! The question, for me as a man, is if there is a God and an afterlife, and I do eventually meet my maker; will I be able to look Him straight in the eye and shake His hand, or will I be ashamed and embarrassed for who I really am? If there is no God and nothing more, then anything said or done here matters not. It is just the Confusion I Ponder until I expire. However, if there is something more, then how do I or any one make an honest and objective investigation of this possibility. I
Why? Because spirituality is the only intelligent life goal of mortality!

I appreciate your answer and I have heard other people say the same thing---DO YOU REALLY WANT TO BE ONE OF A FEW LEFT? I don't think so. Not only no electricity but no medical or anything else. My daughter in law said "Just kill me fast".
