Prayer is talking to God, made through our Lord Jesus Christ 1:31 (John 14:6)
Jesus is the only way...have a relationship with Jesus, spend time with Jesus.
This is really good, His Bible texts are good, I find it good that GOD answers prayers for those even in the Sunday churches.
He doesn't explain how to pray, using Scripture though? Is there a process?
Quote: "I read your paper
Quote – “Believing in something you don’t believe in” - you don’t really mean this do you?
Rob: "What do you mean? If you read my paper, whatever that means? You didn't discuss anything?
For example:
Quote: "So when a beginner first gets started in Jesus, you would expect the Holy Writings to use "beginner" like words, that a "common man" understands. And this is what you find in the "salvational steps to Jesus".
spiritualsprings.org/ss-1506.htm Scripture describes this as "take with you words" Hosea 14:2
Quote: "After prayer, a little girl, about five years of age, went out of the house and in a short time came back with her hands filled with white stuff, which she was eating."What are you eating?" asked the mother. The little lad replied: "Out there I saw some European men, and they said, `The Lord has answered your prayer and has sent you manna; take it up and eat it.' "
This is a modern miracle, a little girl "supports" Jesus, by NOT praying for food, but going out to look for the food Jesus already sent by prayer...the members continue prayer, while the little girl is supporting her prayer by going looking for the promised food through prayer.
spiritualsprings.org/ss-1506.htmSee the difference?
Quote: "Indeed it only takes "two supporting Jesus" for Him to send His wonder. The Author suspects the "wife was supporting Jesus" but did not really thank Jesus or act upon the prayer promise.
Here re both prayers in contrast to each other, the Mum's prayer, the girls prayer, and the assemblies prayer. All praying people fasted, were humble and contrite, but only the little girl prayer of support, was true. Thus the modern manna miracle fell for her.
Quote: "Ps 41:4 I said, LORD, be merciful unto me: heal my soul; for I have sinned against thee.
The speaker here in his prayer, is not praying about transgressions, but about "chata" the Hebrew word for "missing", translated here as "sinning" against thee. The prayer here is to restore the "broken relationship" with the LORD.
I will support you O LORD, because you support me.
spiritualsprings.org/ss-1507.htmQuote: "Mt 6:16 ¶ Moreover when ye fast, be not, as the hypocrites, of a sad countenance: for they disfigure their faces, that they may appear unto men to fast. Such is their support, I say unto you, They have their reward. (Ancient Hebrew)
Notice what "faith" is...it's not a belief, nor some abstract concept...when the so called believers of YHWH, fast, they pretend to support YHWH by fasting ... how do we know their fasting is fake? Because if you support GOD by fasting, than GOD supports you back with a stronger flow of His power through you. But if you fast to get mankind's attention, you are NOT supporting GOD at all, and as Jesus says, they have their reward already, from men. This is the only consistent meaning for "faith", the concept of "support".
Quote: "Claim the prayer promises of power from words you quote, thank God for the promises in those words, and walk away with a burning that the flow will come to pass. This is the science of support.
I like this.
Quote: "The Lord's Prayer
Is the LORD's Prayer, an example of support? Did Jesus support His Father's OT words?
The Lord's prayer is an example of supporting His Father's words.
Quote: "
Context (5) :
• De 1:32 Yet in this thing ye did not believe (aman) "support" the LORD your God,
The children of Israel did not enter the promise land, except for Joshua and Caleb, all the others did NOT support GOD.
How was Israel, to support GOD?
• De 1:34 And the LORD heard the voice of your words,...
• De 1:43 So I spake unto you; and ye would not hear,...
So it is important to remain in partnered relationship to GOD via Jesus our Saviour, that you
•support Jesus by speaking His words
•speak your own words that demonstrate your support to GOD
spiritualsprings.org/ss-1508.htmIsn't this why we have the torah teachings of the Father and the Son, so we support their words in prayer, in our walk we talk an sow these words without ceasing?
Quote: "Context (1): The first mention of "aman" is here in Matthew, and significant in our study of "Faith":-
• Mt 8:8 The centurion answered and said, Lord, I am not worthy that thou shouldest come under my roof: but speak the word only, and my servant shall be healed.
• 9 For I am a man under authority, having soldiers under me: and I say to this man, Go, and he goeth; and to another, Come, and he cometh; and to my servant, Do this, and he doeth it.
• 10 When Jesus heard it, he marvelled, and said to them that followed, Verily I say unto you, I have not found so great faith (emunah) "support", no, not in Israel.
• 11 And I say unto you, That many shall come from the east and west, and shall sit down with Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, in the kingdom of heaven.
• 12 But the children of the kingdom shall be cast out into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
• 13 And Jesus said unto the centurion, Go thy way; and as thou hast believed (aman) "supported me", so be it done unto thee. And his servant was healed in the selfsame hour.
What passage do we need than this one to show the reader that the "faith as a theme" means to support someone? Why did the centurian say what he said to Jesus? He knew that if Jesus spoke the word the disease would go away. Where is this found in the Holy Writings?
Ps 33:9 For he spake, and it was done; he commanded, and it stood fast.(KJV)
This is enough to convince the reader, Jesus speaks the word, and things get done. How is this achieved?
Ps 33:6 By the word of the LORD (Jesus-YHWH) were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the breath (Ruwach) "Holy Spirit" of his mouth. (KJV)
Jesus speaks the words of His Father, and via the Holy Spirit, things are engineered as Jesus speaks them. Thus creation was a community process of love working together.
This is what the centurian is showing Jesus by supporting Jesus words that Jesus can speak the word and things happen, just as a centurian can speak a command and things happen with soldiers under him. Jesus marvelled at the understanding of this man's concept of support. And granted his request by speaking the word only from afar, the sick man was healed.
spiritualsprings.org/ss-1509.htmThis context shows that the word "Faith" means "support"
Quote: "
Context (7): Elijah visits a widow and her son, to eat the last meal in drought times, but God sustains the flour and oil despite her seeking more ingredients, but sadly her son dies..
1Ki 17:23 .. and Elijah said, See, thy son liveth.
• 1Ki 17:24 And the woman said to Elijah, Now by this I know that thou art a man of God, and that the word of the LORD in thy mouth is truth "words that support". (KJV)
Why did the widow say this? Because Elijah said thy Son is alive again, and when she sees her son is alive again, she says your words from your mouth, support what I see and what you claimed to have done for me.
It is sad by the KJV to translate "emeth" as truth, for it misses the context completely, and throughout many different contexts, we see "words that support" is the best basic meaning for every context for this Hebrew word.
spiritualsprings.org/ss-1510.htmAgain with a related Hebrew word to "Faith", the widow shows her support.
Quote: "Context 6: Here is a story of healing because Jesus sees "human support" for a sick man.
Mt 9:2 And, behold, they brought to him a man sick of the palsy, lying on a bed: and Jesus seeing their faith (emunah) "firm support" said unto the sick of the palsy; Son, be of good cheer; thy sins be forgiven thee.
What firm support did Jesus see, to heal the sick man?
Lu 5:19 And when they could not find by what way they might bring him in because of the multitude, they went upon the housetop, and let him down through the tiling with his couch into the midst before Jesus.
Jesus saw the determined effort of the friends who loved this sick man, and healed him because of their support for him. The sick man also may have supported the Lord, by claiming this prayer:-
Ps 35:13 But as for me, when they were sick, my clothing was sackcloth: I humbled my soul with fasting; and my prayer returned into mine own bosom.
This whole prayer is about those who are sick, a simile of the sick man, and a simile of Jesus dying on the Cross.
Isa 33:24 And the inhabitant shall not say, I am sick: the people that dwell therein shall be forgiven their iniquity.
When Jesus said thy sin-offerings be forgiven thee, He was lifted the guilt from this man: the cause of his sickness.
spiritualsprings.org/ss-1511.htmAgain a good example showing support.
Quote: "Mt 4:6 And saith unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down: for it is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning thee: and in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone.
Here is Satan supporting the Father by quoting words that would allow Jesus, His Son to be supported... is this OK in a relationship, the Devil asked? The question was asked to prove you're in a relationship, is really a mock to the Father...Jesus replied, to the "false presumptious support" by saying:
Mt 4:7 Jesus said unto him, It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.
So we need to be careful in our supporting Jesus with His words, and our way we conduct ourselves before Him. Presumption is really false support, or the opposite of support; you're speaking Jesus' words in order to magnify "Self".
If you pray more, you will listen more, and hear Jesus speaking to you, and your support for Jesus, is the kind of support He wants. Thus a relationship with Jesus is a double process, you and the Lord working together, like two cattle in a yoke, the older more experienced Saviour taking the biggest support of the load, and you the trained one learning to support Jesus with the words of His experience. That is how torah-teachings are, you are trained by the trainer until you grow up into Jesus, mature and complete, able to be a Servant for Him, to do His will according to the Father's good pleasure. Shalom
Quote: " Pr 16:9 ¶ A man's heart deviseth his way: but the LORD directeth his steps.
Your support to Jesus, must be the kind of support Jesus wants, because He directs your daily steps, while you plan your course. There are over 3,500 Seed Promises one can choose to support Jesus with every day, and if you spend more time in prayer, Jesus will daily tell you which seeds to sow of His power through you daily.
I like this scripture much, it tells you how and why we support GOD every day.
QUote: "
Context 10: Paul perceives a man has "support for Jesus", as Paul preaches the gospel in the city:
Ac 14:9 The same heard Paul speak: who stedfastly beholding him, and perceiving that he had faith (emunah) "firm support" to be healed,
• 10 Said with a loud voice, Stand upright on thy feet. And he leaped and walked.
The gospel words flow into many receiving the word, that some listening sow these seeds of support in their minds, hope for Jesus to flow in their lives. Paul seeing this hope, asks Jesus to demonstrate His salvation in person.
One has to in the presence of others, see they also support, before you pray support for them.
Quote: " Context 15: Different gifts in us all:
1Co 12:9 To another firm-support by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit;
This passage lists different followers of Jesus, with different levels of support and gifts, resulting in different power flows from Jesus. We are not all expected to have wonders of Jesus flowing for the service of others. Many of us have different gifts of the Spirit.
Each follower has different gifts.
QUote: "Context: 18: Whose supporting you?
Ga 2:16 Knowing that a man is not straightened by the works of the teachings, but by the "firm-support" of Jesus Christ, even we have "supported" Jesus Christ, that we might be straightened by the "firm-suport" of Christ, and not by the works of the teachings: for by the works of the teachings shall no flesh be straightened. (Ancient Hebrew)
When you take words of Jesus, and support Him, whose supporting you? Your own human power, or Jesus flowing through you? You cannot take the teachings and follow Jesus using your own human power. This cannot make you straight. Why? Because there is no relationship in it. You need two points to make a straight line. Not one point. And three points make a crooked line. Two points makes a relationship get started. You and Jesus. Not self on it's own. Sure you take the teachings of Jesus, and support Jesus with those teachings, but you must hope for the promised power flow to flow from those teachings.
This is a good summary of praying with support.
Ga 3:23 But before Support came, we were kept under the Teachings, shut up unto the Support which should afterwards be revealed.
Only after when Jesus came from the grave, was sin-offering completed by Jesus. Now He can fully support you. The Teachings train us to support Jesus. Once you are trained by the Teachings, Jesus flow in you as you support His Support.
The difference between OT support and NT support.
Since we have placed prayer videos here, all of them good, perhaps we should learn how to use this concept of "support" in our prayers? What does this mean?
I will provide my examples of this, But I also want others to tell us how "prayer" and "support" work together in our daily lives.... this is a critical question....
Shalom
