6 tanks at the Hanford Nuclear Reservation dump site are leaking nuclear waste into the land and water in Washington State.
That is the problem with nuclear plants. There are no safe tanks for the waste as sooner or later the tanks will leak. We need to use the power of the sun as there is no toxic material left over to try to store.

If you shut down a nuclear reactor, the site remains radioactive longer than the life span of the pyramids of the Giza plateau. Just who among us think we can build anything that could last long enough to contain all that radioactive pollution? I just came back from the State of Washington, where there is ZERO news about an ongoing contamination by Japans Fukushima’s reactors. Yet, 20 miles north across the Canadian border the population is in an uproar about it. www.washingtonsblog.com/2013/04/is-fukushima-leaking-or-is-the-the-reactor-wholly-uncontained.htmlA quick calculation shows that Chernobyl released around ten thousand times more radioactive cesium each day during the reactor fire. But the Chernobyl fire only lasted 10 days … and the Fukushima release has been ongoing for more than 2 years so far.The big difference between Chernobyl and Fukushima is that Russia had the nerve to send in men to cap the reactor. One after another, helicopters flew straight over the plant dumping cement onto the reactor. Every one of those Russian heroes is now dead! The Fukushima reactor is still exposed and is still spraying radioactivity into the air. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nuclear_reactor_accidents_in_the_United_StatesAccording to a 2010 survey of energy accidents, there have been at least 56 accidents at nuclear reactors in the United States (defined as incidents that either resulted in the loss of human life or more than US$50,000 of property damage). With all of the news talk of earthquakes up and down the California coastline, why did anyone ever let a reactor to be built there? Ex-Regulator Says Reactors Are FlawedBy MATTHEW L. WALD, Published: April 8, 2013 www.nytimes.com/2013/04/09/us/ex-regulator-says-nuclear-reactors-in-united-states-are-flawed.html?_r=0WASHINGTON — All 104 nuclear power reactors now in operation in the United States have a safety problem that cannot be fixed and they should be replaced with newer technology, the former chairman of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission said on Monday. Shutting them all down at once is not practical, he said, but he supports phasing them out rather than trying to extend their lives. After another 100 years of earthquake, storms, war, and fatigue of reactor structures; earth may not even be habitual, if humanity remains in its present form. Which brings to mind an interesting verse by the Apostle John, 1 John 3:2 (ASV) Beloved, now are we children of God, and it is not yet made manifest what we shall be. We know that, if he shall be manifested, we shall be like him; for we shall see him even as he is. All things will be made new. Does this mean that the entire planet gets a remake, or do the survivors get a remake in order to survive on the future earth? Attachments:
