Last night Dr. Oz had a doctor on who wrote a book called WHEAT BELLY. The authors name is William Davis. His message is that wheat is so genically altered that it not only makes you fat but is so addictive that it causes you to crave carbs. Gluton free bread is no better--it is still wheat.
If you attempt to go wheat free you will need to read every label as apparently wheat is in everything. It is in tomato soup , probably to thicken it. Wheat is even in licorace.
If you eat a lot of fast food it may not be calories or fat that make you fat but it is the bun!
I will go wheat free for 30 days and let you know what happens.
The Dr. Oz show will be repeated at 11:00 a.m. on 12/10. Watch for yourself.
We know corn became a real problem for the Indians who base a lot of their diet on Corn that is genically altered to contain more sugar.
This is only the beginning.

WHOW Did I get an eye opener. I just looked at the labels on soup because I eat a lot of it. Campbell's soup all seen to contain wheat. I looked at Beefwith barley soup. Vegetarian vegetable had high frutose corn syrup.
I looked at Amy's brand and all ingrediants are organic natural foods with no crap added. I guess that is what I will stick with from now on. Actually a lot of it is really good.

Yes apparently man did lots of wheat breeding, in the early 60's and a strain mutated with a mistake, so the gluten is separated more easily. The variety we have now is so bad for you, worse than eating GMO corn or soybean.
Spelt Wheat is OK, but few farmers grow older less producing, taller varieties anymore. You right, the best advice is to avoid eating modern wheat at all costs.
