I accept your apology Just happened to check in to see what's new. I don't nor intend to teach or preach in a public setting, but I have been compelled by the Lord to go to the front of a group and give a prophetic word. There is so much opportunity to share, one on one, what God is teaching me. Interesting timing to 'check in" huh?I am deeply humbled and your post is an answer to prayer!
It is so difficult to debate/discuss many theological issues because all theological issues are personal. I never meant to make the discussion between us personal. But the truth is - it is completely personal to me as a man in the 21st century, in which the culmination of all the suffrage/ women rights / feminism movements (regardless of what you call it) impact me personally as a husband, as a father of two young girls, and as a "Christian."
I am not the male chauvinist you might think me to be - but I framed my argument poorly to achieve my intended goal.
Your original question to me long ago is not answerable in your favor within the context of Roman Churchanity - This revelation was my goal.
My question to you over and over was - If I believe that the Holy Scriptures (as Rome presents them) is the inspired word of God -- then how can those same church leaders redact / omit / dilute / ignore both Old and New Testament scripture frowning upon women publicly speaking with churches to the extent that they are forbidden to ask questions in open forum.
How can 2997 pages of my Roman Canon be the holy inspired word of God - but because of new current social trends we can all omit these 3 pages.
I rail at this attitude - if any of scripture can be passed off as a non-relevant, or even fictional, or perhaps copied from an older Summarian text - it only harms the public impression of the faith. It is a dilution and therefore a pollution of that public image about the inaccuracy or fallacy of the FAITH.
I hope I make it perfectly clear that the argument today is not between the FACT of science versus Roman Christendom Mythology - but more accurately best fist scientific theory with scripture
The Creation is not a myth
The Flood of Noah is perfectly scientifically describable by employing J. Marvin Herndon's Theory of Whole Earth Decompression Dynamics and my followup Fluid Dynamics theory.
In keeping with this same conviction the the accuracy of the word - how do I justify a female pastor within the context of Paul's epistles? - YOU CAN"T!
So - What is a modern 21st century Christian man / or woman to conclude
1 - Christianity as a whole is obsolete? Past its relevance?
2- Christianity is just incorrect in this regard - therefore we can now pick and choose which passages are relevant to us today
3- once we began to dilute it in part we dilute it in whole and the next thing you know we live in a society where transgender women can Shepard a flock of homosexual men to salvation, but do not understand how to justify their own place within Roman scripture.
4- all of this dilutes and pollutes the FAITH
The answer?
Roman Canon, Roman Christendom, and Roman Scripture is obviously incomplete, incorrectly edited in a pro-male-centric way, by men for me.
Gospel of Thomas gets a lot of criticism. It is set up in a Q & A format and many of the questions are seemingly bizarre today. But to the question about a woman's relation to Christ and therefor the Church (i.e. Body of Christ) -
Jesus's answer is in two parts:
1- A woman is under a man's subjection,
OT and even in the NT the responsibility for the salvation for the whole household is the father / man of the house. If my brother dies I am even to take in his wife and his 27 children if necessary.
2- But after the comma, Jesus says - until the woman becomes a man
Roman makes fun of this passage - women becoming men, but then turn around and teach about being Born Again of spirit.
Today, women are the head of the household, responsible for their family in every way - this is of course after her tour of duty as a US Marine.
Gnostic Christian's hold women in equal regard as to their relationship to the Lord ans well as their own responsibility for their own salvation.
We are all theologically on our own
ALL THINGS ARE RELATED
Possibly my error in our previous discussion was to use social trends as data to support a position. So I want to separate this very important social-science prophesy fulfillment.
Then there is the question of what is and what isn't relevant scripture.
