I like it - I like it - Love your enemy - turn the other cheek
In the case of ISIS - the enemy says - deny Christ or die - Christ says deny me before man and He will deny us before the Lord
As a Gnostic - the paradigm goes - man is lock in a contest - toward God or away - good and evil Gen 3:15 - Gen 6, 15, - Nephilim, Rephaim, Giants, we live in the devil's realm, he is the god of the world. Eph 6 make this a spiritual war. Christ spent a lot of the New Testament casting out evil spirits and demons.
add - what if we are closing in on the - end of days (assumption)
and in the end day it will be like the days of Noah the Nephilim were in the days of Noah
Is the spiritual enemy - the opposition force - on earth - active - and in our face
It kills me at AHR forum - that everyone is willing to discuss the centuries of history about the Land of Canaan - 'other gods' left and right - sometimes working together against Israel - this has always been the history of Canaan! - but today people want to say Allah = Yhwy to be politically ans socially correct.

Mom always said that criticism never hurts or requirs a defense if it is untrue
Call me a silly girl and I will not get angry because you are wrong and just sound stupid If you call me lazy, now I have to get all defensive because there is some true in what you say.
People say: God does not exist or that God is not the true God. No one gets upset because we know better and those people saying that just seem wrong and stupid
However, if some one says Allah is not the Creator God, then they have to kill you
Interesting! By their own actions of human nature they tell us that their god is an imposter.

I might be wrong but I would not try to show depraved monsters love or reason with them, if I had the means I would kill them all or die in an effort to protect them from my family. We can take comfort in what God said in Scripture. "Vengeance is mine says the Lord I will recompense" (Punish) This is a hard one for Christian men. Is what you say here contradictory? I think of my own children and those in my youth group. Should our family, wife and children, be more valuable to us fathers than God's word? I wonder about this every time we go over the Sodom and Gomorrah story Would you offer your daughters to the crowd to protect an angel? Would I? Jephthah sacrificed his own daughter to the Lord! I tried his best to get out of it, but in the end it was either his promise to the Lord or his daughter. Part of me wants to round up all the Christians and go over to the Middle East to save the Christian being beheaded there, but you are right vengeance is the Lord's. Yet, as a man it is hard just to stand by and watch it happen.

I also do not think the angels of Sodom and Gomorrah expected it, they were more that capable to take care of themselves Thus, in my opinion it is a moot point

Your right Alan. The angels did not allow anything to happen. I see the point of that story as Lot loved the Lord more than his own family - therefore his salvation. Jephthah sacrificed his own daughter to the Lord! I tried his best to get out of it, but in the end it was either his promise to the Lord or his daughter. (Judges 11:29-40) As a father, today, I would hope I would be forgiven for not being able to comply. Would I comply? ? I honestly do not know. Sometimes we think we would do this or that- but when the time comes sometimes we surprise ourselves.

Isn't this the theme of modern Christianity?
Rape, pillage, and plunder all day long, but say your prayers before you go to be, so that you can sleep with a clean conscious. Just to wake up and do it all over again day after day.
We don't have to be good. We just need to apologize for being bad?
