A lifetime ago I was on the board of a small church. We board members would take turns reading anything inspirational we chose to open each meeting. -
One day, I read: ' ... some say they would believe if they could just see a sign; but those of us who believe, see signs all around us. '
All my fellow board members smiled and shook their heads in agreement - until they discovered I had just read aloud in their local corner community church - from the Quran! They had to have a special meeting about me - to pray for me - council me - and that might be why I have since moved on in my quest for spiritual truths.
My High School Motto - the finish is dependent upon the start.
Look at the beginnings - It all begins with Abraham who has 2 sons.
Ishmael, the first born - but not of Sarah
Isaac, the son of Sarah
2 brothers in conflict and therefore separated. One ordained by God by asking Abraham him on an alter. One kept at home, given the blessing, and father Israel. One sent out, alone with his mother.
Gen 16 - the blessing given to Hagar - Ishmael would be the father of many nations - they will be a goat of a man. His hand against every man, and even against his brothers.
My friend, Ali, would stop me right now and tell me there is no proof that Ishmael is the father of Islam. But from this side of the issue - the correlation remains - the Gen 16 blessing appears like our vision of Islamic Hadith.
End times prediction by all three faith's, Islam, Christian, and Jew - all fathered by Abraham - all ending with - The Madhi, Ezekiel 38, and Revelations - all ending somewhere near or around the west bank of the Golan heights.
God's plan as written can not unfold without the trinity of cultural interplay, Jew, Palestine, Jerusalem, Christian, christendom, hadith, Islam.
Am I saying - let's go be Muslim - no - but to each as he is called.
